Lake Havasu City, AZ (May 9, 2017) – Thirty years is a long time, especially when it comes to staying
at a job. That’s not something that is easily found nowadays among
employees, but it is a milestone that Antonio “Tony” Perretta
recently celebrated. Perretta, father of two and a huge 49ers fan, had
no idea that
Pitzer’s One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating owner Larry Thornton was going to make the announcement at the morning
staff meeting to celebrate his 30th anniversary with the company. He also didn’t know that Thornton
arranged to fly Perretta and his sons to a 49ers game, presented to him
with a football signed by Perretta’s favorite player Ronnie Lott
along with a framed photograph and autographed personal note from the
Hall of Famer. Thornton also presented Perretta with a $5,000 check.
“He’s part of the company’s legacy,” said Thornton.
“He’s a fantastic employee and deserves all of this for his
many years of hard work.”
Tony is a journeyman service tech at in Lake Havasu City, serving customers
with a big smile and a quest for their satisfaction. “The best part
of my job is meeting people and making them happy,” said Perretta.
Tony’s start was all thanks to a friend who worked as a dispatcher.
“It was hard to get the job at first, but once I did I hung in there
and fell in love with it. Fixing someone’s air conditioning brings
a customer so much happiness, and that’s great to see.” He’s
seen the business change and grow, with Pitzer’s One Hour recently
acquiring the Phoenix area as part of their territory that now covers
most of Arizona and Nevada. Along with more than 70 colleagues on staff,
Tony is grateful for the team atmosphere that helps make the job fulfilling.
“I’m part of a team with great bosses and they take care of
